Bob Moog (1934-2005) was a pioneer for electronic music for more than 50 years, affecting the lives of musicians around the world. The invention of the Moog synthesizer revolutionized almost every genre of music, offering musicians new ways of expressing their creativity and transforming their lives and their work.
We at Liquid Cinema are thrilled to support The Bob Moog Foundation, a non-profit that promotes creativity by bringing together music, science, history and innovation via some amazing projects. Understanding the science behind how things work is crucial to the process of creation and innovation, even when it comes to an artistic pursuit like music. By giving kids hands-on opportunities to work with instruments like theremins and kazoos through their program Dr. Bob's Sound School, they can see the link between sound and science, paving the way for future innovation. The foundation's other projects include the preservation of his archives and musical inventions and an interactive museum which is currently under development.
